Swiss Music Box

Circa 1840. Plays six songs. Etouffoirs en Ancier (steel dampers) Soit A Spiraux made of wood. The tuned steel comb for mechanical musical devices was invented  by Antoine Favre of Geneva, Switzerland, in 1776.  Dampers of silk paper covering a portion of the comb added tremolo to the sound.
